    Rather than approaching a task top down, The Ergonosapien reviews and catalogues operational activity so as to define the realities at the operational end of your business; identifying obstructions and operational needs.

    Do you have anyone on your team that has the time? We do. It is what our time is dedicated to.

    Objectivity

    When we come into your workplace, we have one objective. The task we have outlined. We can be objective because we’re not influenced by how it influences any roles within your workplace.

    Consciously or subconsciously, whoever you would apply to the task in our stead, may/or may not have ulterior motives. That’s not an accusation; just a probability.

    Connection and Empathy

    You may not fall into this category, but do you struggle with workgroup interactions?

    Where we have wants driven ideologies and downward communication modelling, our brain generates particular neurolinguistics, and this also conditions us to see things a certain way.

    The same is true of workgroups, but in their case, ideals are needs driven and they want to communicate upwards but in many cases are obstructed by gatekeepers or the content of what they want to convey is often filtered and diluted by the time it gets to where it needs to be.

    How can you engage with a workgroup if you don’t even speak the same language and are not on the same page?

    With these two camps already having a void between them, the frustration of a workforce seemingly not being compliant or following direction and the management seemingly not wanting to hear the needs of workgroups the void is intensified. Engaging with workgroups is critical if we want the information to be accurate.

    Our conditioning on the other hand is neither wants, nor needs driven. It is service driven. Therein, we can remove ourselves from the things that cause the void and focus on using ‘John Maxwell’ style communication of defining needs. Using our ears more than our mouths.

    We come to your business to be of service to the success of your business. Not to fulfill a want or a need. Just provide service provision. In this case, we are a conduit. We bring you the knowledge from operations that operations cannot convey to you themselves.

    Tactility and Insight

    We are experienced in warehousing at the “pointy end” of the business and have an extensive knowledge of work practices and logistic applications. Practical knowledge that allows us to observe with established insight.

    Observation

    If we make observations with an agenda, that agenda corrupts what we see. Whereas The Ergonosapien aproaches observation with a need to see what needs to be seen, not what we want to see.

  • Many of our competitors use monitoring and compliance tools to make the needs of the business fit the wants of management. This can work to a degree but shouldn't be applied until we have a proper comprehension of the operational needs of the business.

    The Leaning Tower of Pisa leans because those who built it didn't understand what was going on at its foundations. Observations made without insight leads to incomplete or corrupted knowledge. More so, where there is an agenda in play.

    Using AI and search engines tells someone else's story, not that of the company you work for. They are too generic and not representative of the unique needs of your business.

    Our skills come from decades of front-line experience. Our focus is on gathering information as it exists. Not as we want it to be. We look for the nuances, logistical pathways and look for gaps in facilitation. Looking for what is needed, as opposed to what is wanted.

    By all means, feel free to use our competition too. Our services could even complement one another, but we would advise against top-down modelling without first addressing what we need to know about the operational end of the business.

    Using compliance and monitoring doesn't fix what is broken. It allows it to perpetuate in the shadows while instead, making workgroups responsible for things that are not in their control.

    If you want to apply compliance and monitoring, do it after fixing what is broken, while you can still identify it instead of making square holes for round pegs and forcing them to fit.

  • A presentation is scheduled according to our mutual availability. As too is the signing of the service agreement. The presentation itself runs for less than half an hour, but I am also there to answer any further questions as they present.

    The duration of service would most likely sit in a three-week window, but variables may present depending upon your needs.

    Service revision is available post workplace modifications or with the growth of your business.

  • Yes.

    We bring knowledge and insight to your business and anything that is confidential within your business remains confidential. Moreover, we aren’t actually there to assess your policies, processes or outlined practices, but rather how they play out in real time by the end user. It’s not about the policy, processes or outlined practices, just the impact of them.

    The Ergonosapien doesn’t need to see any of your business’ documents or transactions. We review real time activity, actual application and flow at an operational level.

    In terms of what information is provided, it is based on real world experience and done in consultation with your workgroups. If it makes you more comfortable, rest assured that we, as responsible companies should, are also ensured.

  • Many of our competitors represent conformity and dictate the terms of what must change to comply; whereas, The Ergonosapien promotes insight without terms, condition or bias.

    At the heart of what we do is to define what your business does, therein the service is customised to align to represent that.

    Therefore, the need to work to standards is not relevant to the service that is provided. Your company has unique needs and the service we provide is merely a reflection of what your company does in actuality.

    Having said that, as part of the service, feedback is given post catalogue completion. In that feedback a good deal of it is compliance driven. i.e., in line with Work Safe; while also outlining where some practices fall outside of these standards. We showcase manual applications; as opposed to manual handling but also work in cooperation with medical professionals to define what is standard practice. While, part of reasoning behind contraindicated practices, (that are defined by ergonomists), is that we need to engineer solutions; by way of facilitating the workforce’s ability to apply themselves to the task or alter the task.

    Most importantly, the catalogue itself is a vehicle of compliance. It can be used to enhance SOPs, referenced in building better work practices and better-informed decision making. It can also assist in policy writing.

    The bottom line is, we are simply a mirror held up to your business that allows management to reflect upon what it needs to do to improve. We cannot do this if we are preaching or fitting within standards. We exist to show our clients the realities as they exist, rather than the ideals.

  • The presentation evaluation and committee meetings are conducted on your premises.

    Whereas the compilation of the catalogue and recommendations take place externally, unless you need greater access to us. In which case, that too could be done on your premises to a degree.

  • The Ergonosapien is based in Melbourne and services businesses within Melbourne. We cannot service a stanalone business interstate.

    However, should we tend to a company in Melbourne that also has warehouses interstate, we make an exception. But, our business with the Melbourne branch must be concluded before attending to interstate or satellite locations. Moreover, a new service agreement must be drawn up specific to the interstate visit/s and fees will also need to be adjusted as a matter of accommodation and logistics.

  • As at January 2026, fees begin at $11,900 for the full scope of basic services, (subject to change, but not mid contract). Where the needs of the mapping, catalogue, reports and scaling are standard, the four are inclusive in the forementioned fee. Where there are complicating variables, the fees need to be customised.

    Validating services, Videos and Interstate services are additional costs.

    Mapping

    Mapping out of the warehouse and assessing flow is a very time-consuming process. The size and flow of the warehouse will be a variable in the fees that apply to the task. The process may take a few days or a couple of weeks. So, the time that is invested in the project is a factor, but a fee is established prior to commencement.

    Catalogue

    The compilation of the catalogue will have impacting time frames as with the mapping. But will also have a defined set fee applied to it prior to the commencement of work.

    Reports, 3rd Party and Videos

    The range of reports are a variable, along with any collaborations that need to take place in providing them. The evaluation of which needs to take place progressively in the course of putting the catalogue together. As such, these fees would be established after the catalogue is completed, but before the reports are conveyed. The reports and videos are optional, and the needs will be discussed prior to their commencement.

    The ‘3 rd Party’ comes from an external party, i.e. an ergonomist or even a psychological impact overview. But again, these services are optional, but their service fee is defined in the table as an additional fee.

    In creating videos, we may need assistance from 3D artists. Their fees would be incorporated into those presented to you.

    Scaling

    Scaling, as it pertains to small business does not require the time-consuming process of mapping out, flow, defining where errors occur or Job Analysis, and is more about consulting on how to make next steps in a practical sense. This is where we would recommend layout, practices and job descriptions. This pertains to where a business is scaling up and starting afresh with a bigger scope vision of itself. It takes much less time on our part and as such, we can place our fees within reach of small business.

    Scaling for more established businesses is more complex, therein product lines, manning and warehouse size are all variable factors that need personalised fee review.

  • The service agreement has both standard and customized elements to it based upon, size of the warehouse, manning, post catalogue recommendation needs and additional service provision.

    The agreement is a mutual agreement; whereby the service needs are outlined, services are defined, the core project price is established and post-project work, i.e. recommendations are defined.

    The contract is signed by both parties upon agreeing to the content and prior to the commencement of the core project.
